4th of July Fundraiser "Casino-a-Go-go Night" March 29, 2008

Description: Step back in time, Austin Powers style, and enjoy the ambience of the late 60's/early 70's era at "Casino A Go-go Night" on Saturday, March 29, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., when the Good Shepherd Parish Social Hall, 8200 Gold Coast Drive in Mira Mesa, is transformed into a swinging place to raise money for this year's 4th of July fireworks display that’s enjoyed by thousands of local residents from Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch and surrounding communities. Suggested donation is $15 each. Casino Night is sponsored by the Mira Mesa Community 4th of July Committee along with its sister non-profit group, Scripps-Mesa Fireworks, Inc., and co-sponsored by the Knights of Columbus at Good Shepherd Parish. The event includes live entertainment as well as "just for fun" casino games, including blackjack, craps, pai gow, Texas hold’em, and a roulette wheel, as well as a silent auction and door prize raffle. Light refreshments are included, and the Knights of Columbus will offer a cash bar with soft drinks as well as beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Casino Night is for ages 21 and up.
