Fourth
of July
Each year the local Fourth of July fireworks display is set off from
Mira Mesa High School fields and enjoyed by many who gather at locations
such as Mira Mesa Community Park or at Miramar Lake in Scripps Ranch.
Last year's fireworks display cost $25,000, including a City fee
of approximately $3,500. The
entire Fourth of July celebration, including the annual Mira Mesa Fourth
of July parade and the Family Fun Day in the Park, costs approximately
$45,000.
This amount is completely funded through donations and fundraisers. We had a great community event in 2011, but need to raise at least $15,000 by January 1, 2012 in order to continue the tradition into 2012.
You can donate through PayPal below. Donations go to Scripps Mesa Fireworks, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization established to help the communities of Scripps Ranch and Mira Mesa in San Diego celebrate a meaningful family oriented Independence Day.

Mira Mesa Fourth of July Committee
The Mira Mesa 4th of July Committee is a standing committee of the Mira
Mesa Town Council. The group
meets monthly year-round on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30
PM and every Wednesday in June, at the Mira Mesa Senior Center, 8460
Mira Mesa Boulevard. Follow
