New “Edge Lanes” for Bikes with Single Central Two-Way Car Traffic Lane, plus Miramar College Master Plan

The Mira Mesa Town Council meeting on Monday, April 4, 2022, 7 to 9pm via Zoom, will have a double-feature main program.

Find out more about the new “edge lanes” recently striped on Gold Coast Drive near Parkdale. The “edge lanes” are intended for bicycles, leaving a single central two-way traffic lane for cars, so autos are allowed to go into the “edge lanes” as needed. Everett Hauser, from the City of San Diego Transportation Division, will attend the April 4 MMTC meeting to explain the “edge lanes” street lining design and answer questions about it.

The meeting will also feature San Diego Miramar College Vice President of Administrative Services, Brett Bell, with a presentation and overview of Miramar’s Facilities Master Plan, concluding with a question and answer session.

Regular reports from representatives of Mira Mesa’s elected officials and updates from other community groups will take place at the April 4 meeting, as usual.
