Thank you for participating in this year’s Mira Mesa 4th of July parade. As we move forward to parade day, there are a few items with which you will need to comply as per the San Diego Fire Marshal. These items include:
- A current and working fire extinguisher in each float/vehicle.
- Fireproofing of all materials used on/in your float or decorated vehicle.
Completion of this form is your agreement of compliance with the fire department requirements for parades held within the County of San Diego. Your completed form will be available to the Fire Marshal on parade day, however, he/she may still be compelled to set a flame to any part of your decorated vehicle/float to prove compliance. He/she may also require a visual inspection of your fire extinguisher. Please be aware that the Fire Marshal will remove your entry from participation in the parade for non-compliance with the above stated regulations.
