Thursday May 31st, June 1, 4 and possibly 5th will see temporary trail closures during treatment of Coast Live Oak Trees in Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve. Trails adjacent to treatment areas will be closed only during treatment. The oaks being treated for Goldspotted Oak Borer, an invasive beetle, are located on the south side of the creek between Black Mountain Road and Carson’s Crossing. Both the main trail and single track trails will be affected by the temporary closures. The trails will be open during the weekend, June 2, 3.
