“You Are Not Alone”, or YANA, is a program of the Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol (RSVP) and San Diego Police Department, whereby RSVP officers make visits to those that would appreciate or need to have someone check on their welfare on a regular basis. In addition, they would suggest resources to meet individual needs.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all RSVP operations have been suspended until further notice, including these YANA visits.
All of us at the Mira Mesa Town Council want to reach out to our neighbors to see how we can help you.
If you are a person living alone, a senior citizen, someone with health issues, or someone who would feel reassured knowing there is a person checking on you, you can sign up for a daily phone call from a YANA volunteer. If you need assistance, your YANA volunteer can seek out resources to assist you.
To sign up for a daily YANA call, email your name and phone number to YANA@MiraMesaTownCouncil.org.
A friend or family member may email your name and phone number if you don’t have email yourself.
If you have any questions about this program, you can email those to the same address, or to President@MiraMesaTownCouncil.org.
