Our November meeting will feature a discussion of the number one topic today: homelessness. Representatives from the City, County, and non-profits will talk about what is driving the increase in homelessness, what programs are currently available both to assist homeless individuals and to manage homeless encampments, and the direction legislation and programs are taking in the future.
We will also have a presentation about the Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol. The R.S.V.P program helps promote community awareness and helps all San Diego citizens feel safe. Volunteers perform vacation house checks, You Are Not Alone checks, and other community crime prevention programs.
We will also have our annual elections for the Mira Mesa Town Council Board. If you are interested in running for a Board position, please contact MMTC President Bari Vaz at president@miramesatowncouncil.org.
