September 12, 2022 MMTC Meeting Features Epicentre Update and CA State Senate Candidates

At our September 12 Mira Mesa Town Council meeting, we will have an update on the Epicentre Teen Center in Mira Mesa, which is being renovated by the County of San Diego.

We have also invited the candidates for California State Senate District 40, the District Mira Mesa will be in following the November 2022 election, to introduce themselves and answer questions from residents in an informal Candidates Forum. The candidates are Brian Jones and Joseph Rocha. This link goes to a San Diego Union Tribune article about the candidates.

The meeting will take place via Zoom, starting at 7pm. To attend the Zoom meeting, register in advance at:

The Epicentre presentation by a San Diego County Parks team will begin shortly after the start of the meeting, following any reports by “first responders.” The team includes Alyssa Way, Park Project Manager, as well as Emily Hubbard and Brandon Schroeder. They will provide a project update for the County’s renovation of the Mira Mesa Epicentre and answer any questions attendees may have about the project.

At 7:45pm we are scheduling time for a “Meet the Candidates Forum” for California State Senate District 40 candidates Brian Jones and Joseph Rocha to introduce themselves and answer questions.

The meeting will also include our usual reports from representatives of elected officials, MMTC committees, and other community groups, as well as a time for “open forum” comments.

The public is welcome to attend!
