Sabrina Bazzo – Sabrina Bazzo has volunteered with a variety of organizations that have directly benefited the Mira Mesa Community and beyond. While raising two daughters with her husband, Sabrina served as an active volunteer at Sandburg Elementary School, which later led to her becoming the PTA President for two years.  She was active with Sandburg’s Fall Festival by gaining corporate sponsors and a wide range of silent auction items. She was an active volunteer at Challenger Middle School, which later led to serving as the PTSA President.  Sabrina is currently the President of the Parent Booster Organization for the Class of 2018.  She is a Mira Mesa Town Council Member and has served as a Member at Large on the MMTC Board for two years. For the last 6 years, Sabrina has served as the President of the Mira Mesa High School Foundation. In addition, she is the Committee Chair of the “Taste of Mira Mesa” (2012-2017), and has more than doubled the amount of money raised by the event.  From 2003 to present, Sabrina has been an active volunteer, team parent and fundraiser for AYSO soccer, the high school soccer and swim teams, as well as a volunteer and fundraiser for MMHS Cheer from 2011-2015.  She earned a Master of Arts in Public Health (M.P.H.) from San Diego State University.  In addition to being the Executive Director for the San Diego Academy of Family Physician, she is also the Administrative Director for the Coalition for Physician Enhancement, which are both non-profit groups that promote better quality physician training in San Diego, nationwide and throughout several countries. Sabrina’s amazing effort to benefit our local organizations, our schools, our community and other non-profit agencies makes her an ideal Volunteer of the Year!
